Dr. Spencer specializes in general orthopedics, including joint replacement, advanced sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and hand, wrist, and elbow surgery. He has extensive experience in the latest advanced arthroscopic surgery techniques and more complex procedures of the upper extremities, including arthroscopic labral repairs, total shoulder replacements and wrist fractures. He treats orthopedic injuries for many local athletes on the high school and college level, including sports-related tendinitis.

Dr. Spencer graduated with honors from Dartmouth College, and obtained his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. During this time, he received several research grants and honors. He then went on to complete a general surgery residency and orthopedic residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, which was recognized as one of the 100 best hospitals in the country. He also completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and New York University (NYU).

Since 2012, Dr. Spencer has consistently been named among Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors for both Westchester County and the NYC Metro Area. He has also been named a Top Doctor by Westchester Magazine and was voted one of “America’s Top Surgeons” by the Consumer’s Research Council of America.
