Eric Spencer, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He delivers exceptional services to patients in Yonkers,NY at SOUTHERN WESTCHESTER ORTHOPEDICS AND SPORTS MEDICINE.

 

Dr. Spencer specializes in joint replacement surgery and hand, wrist, and elbow surgery. His specialty includes nerve compression problems like carpal tunnel syndrome. An expert in advanced sports medicine, he treats many athletes, at both the high school and collegiate level, for musculoskeletal injuries such as sports-related tendinitis.

 

Backed by his considerable skills and experience in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, Dr. Spencer frequently performs complex upper extremity procedures such as arthroscopic labral and rotator cuff repair, total shoulder replacement, and wrist reconstruction.

 

He excels at surgeries such as Mako® Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology for partial knee replacement and arthroscopic knee surgery.

 

Dr. Spencer graduated with honors from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University’s Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in Manhattan's Washington Heights, receiving several prestigious research grants and honors during his time there.

 

Also in New York City, Dr. Spencer went on to complete his general surgery and orthopedic residencies at Lenox Hill Hospital — one of the 100 best hospitals in the country. Dr. Spencer also completed a hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York.
